Notes
- Master the Can: For the best presentation, use a can of energy drink that is just the right size to fit in your glass. The can should rest on the ice, not sink to the bottom.
- Customize Your Color: If you're using a different energy drink, a yellow-colored one is key to getting the vibrant green hue. For a different look, you can experiment with other colors or flavors.
- Make it a Pitcher: For a large party, you can mix all the liquors and a few drops of food coloring in a pitcher, and then have guests top off their individual glasses with a can of energy drink.
- How strong is the Irish Trash Can? This is a very potent cocktail. With six half-ounce pours of liquor, it contains about three ounces of hard alcohol, plus the caffeine from the energy drink. It's a party drink that should be consumed responsibly.
- What does it taste like? It has a sweet and fruity flavor profile, with prominent notes of peach and orange. The high sugar content and the fizzy nature of the energy drink make it dangerously easy to drink, so be mindful of its strength.
