Notes

The Story Behind the Daiquiri The original daiquiri was invented in Cuba in the late 19th century. It was a simple, shaken cocktail made with rum, lime, and sugar. The frozen version came much later, with the invention of the electric blender in the 1930s. The Strawberry Daiquiri is a modern twist on this classic, becoming a worldwide sensation for its sweet and fruity flavor.
Tips for a Perfect Frozen Daiquiri
  • Balance is Key: The most important part of a daiquiri is the balance between sweet and sour. Adjust the amount of simple syrup and lime juice based on the sweetness of your strawberries.
  • Freeze Your Fruit: Using frozen strawberries is essential for a thick, slushy consistency without watering down the drink with too much ice. You can also freeze your rum in the bottle for a few hours to make the drink even colder.
  • Customize Your Flavor: You can easily make other frozen daiquiris by swapping the strawberries for other frozen fruits like mango, pineapple, or raspberries.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
